LASIK

The cornea is the major part of the light-focusing system in your eyes, but age-related affects that start in your 40s are the result of changing flexibility in your natural lenses.

Monovision LASIK

This procedure works in the same way as standard LASIK, except the laser corrects one eye for distance and one eye for up-close vision. While many people assume that laser eye surgery is the only option for vision correction, an advanced technology implantable contact lens, called the EVO ICL is an alternative to LASIK. The biocompatible implant is placed inside the eye in the space behind the colored part of the eye (iris) and over your natural lens. You cannot see or feel the lens.

The advantages of EVO ICL include you can see more clearly almost immediately and can treat stronger nearsighted prescriptions than LASIK, although it does not treat farsightedness. This procedure is reversible and leaves your corneas intact. This option does not prevent changes such as cataracts.
